Breastfeeding Support Group
with Lynn Tauss

This informal support group for breastfeeding families provides interaction as well as individual assistance when needed. Women wanting more information about breastfeeding are also welcome. Facilitated by a lactation consultant from the Women and Infants unit. Because of room occupancy restraints, we are limited to a maximum of 7 moms with babies in arms. Siblings will not be allowed at this time. Please call 207-301-8337 for more information. This group is free, but pre-registration is required.
Tai Chi for Wellness

Tai Chi is a low-impact exercise that is easy on the joints and good for your whole body. Join instructor Adrienne Gallant, certified in Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention, for this six-session beginner-level class to increase your strength, flexibility, balance and overall sense of well-being. No previous Tai Chi experience necessary.
Held Support Group
with Leah Kohlstrom

This support group provides a safe space for families grieving the loss of a child through miscarriage or pregnancy loss. Join Leah Kohlstrom and Claire Philbrook the first Tuesday of each month at Pen Bay Medical Center's Beebe Center to explore grief with tea and the occasional activity. This will be a space to share and process grief alongside others who have experienced similar loss.
Happy Wanderers Guided Hike
with Coastal Mountain Land Trust Partners

Join the Community Health team partnering with Coastal Mountains Land Trust to get outdoors and stay active with guided hikes this year. All levels are welcome, however, please leave your pets home.
This hike is 2 miles and the level is moderate.
Directions: From the intersection of Routes 131 and 105 (Camden Road) in Appleton, go east on Route 105 for ½ mile. Parking for the Appleton Preserve is available at the ME Inland Fisheries & Wildlife gravel lot on the right, just before the bridge across the Georges River (see map). Please do not park in the Blue Crow Studio driveway or use it as a turnaround.
Please dress accordingly for the weather and be aware of ticks.
The group will meet at trailheads throughout Knox and Waldo Counties on the first Thursday of each month at 10:00 a.m. (winter months) and 9:00 a.m. (summer months). For more information and the full schedule, visit the Coastal Mountains Land Trust website.
All hikes will be led by CMLT staff members and a MaineHealth Community Health team member.

Join facilitator Moriah Hersey, OTD, OTR/L, for this informative and interactive support group where you can share your struggles with concussion; learn more about concussions, treatment and outcomes; and connect with others who have had similar experiences. This program is free but registration is required to obtain virtual access.

There will be recipe demonstrations and engaging activities at each class. All participants will receive a colorful cookbook with 24 healthy, low-cost recipes and nutrition tips! Individuals do not need to attend both Series A and Series B, but it is encouraged! If participants choose to attend both series, then they will receive on cookbook at the end of series A.
