A Matter of Balance

Many older adults experience a fear of falling. People who develop this fear often limit their activities, which can result in physical weakness, making the risk of falling even greater. A Matter of Balance is a program designed for community-dwelling adults age 60 and older to increase activity levels and reduce the fear of falling. If you are concerned about falls, have sustained falls in the past, or are interested in improving your flexibility, balance and strength, this class is for you. *Meets twice a week, on Tuesday & Thursday.*

Commit to Sit

Is meditation new to you or are you looking to have a deeper, more meaningful practice? If so, join our meditation series to explore different styles and techniques and learn to be more present in your life. The class will provide you with tools to develop a home sitting meditation practice and help you take your practice into everyday activities. *Note: Wear comfortable clothing in layers, bring a water bottle, personal cushion, blanket and yoga mat if you have one.* (Offered in conjunction with Five Town CSD Adult Community Education.)

Easy Going Yoga

Gentle Yoga Flow

This playful gentle flow class is designed for all levels. Certified yoga instructor Kyla Cech will offer lots of verbal cues for alignment, breath and grounding and introduce poses with several alternatives to suit a wide range of students. This class follows a hatha yoga structure with a more energizing first half and a relaxing ending. *Note: No class February 19.*

Intermediate Yoga

Anyone can provide themselves or their loved ones with reflexology after some general education and experience. *Note: Bring a notebook and pen. Requires working with the hands.*


Mindful Eating: A Practice

Mindful eating is not about good foods and bad foods, it is about developing awareness of your experiences with food and sensing your physical cues of hunger and satisfaction. Join this four-week class to explore how you can shift from being controlled by food to being at ease with your choices and with eating.
